ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Rear Break Light On Dash?

Ok So I started the car up today for a daily drive, to my buddy's garage.

and saw this light on the dashing saying Rear Break?
I really had no clue, I ask my buddy he had no clue still.

So explanation would be great. im thinking its like a sensor for Break pad Wear?

Picture of where the light is.

Looking For Some CB7Tuner sticker, No Credit Card to buy one. Anyone wanna give me for free?

It could be possible that one of your brake lights is burnt out. I had some funky wiring on my cb a while ago just on the tailight harness. It'd be intermittent and go on and off alot. I just replaced that lil harness part that the sockets are on and its been good since. Maybe your 3rd brake light burnt out also it will tell you. If you checked that sorry my bad. Do you have abs? Post a reply and I'll go from there.

that has nothing to do with brake pad wear.

you either have a burnt out taillight bulb, corroded bulb socket or bad sensor in the taillight (see pic below).

like he said. Lol I just went out and took pictures but you beat me to it. Its your tail lights after reading my service manual we don't have anything like that, that reads things wrong with brakes or anything well besides your brake light coming on or abs but nothing for pad wear. I'd check your wiring you might have a short some were. Are you sure all your bulbs are good? If so pull out your harness and check for loose connections.

i kinda had something like that happen to me...when i did my h22a and manual swap, i wanted to change the gauge assembly to a 5speed assembly to get rid of the auto trans gear position indicator on the dash. i picked up a ns 5speed complete assembly from the junk yard and put it in...everything worked..except that brake light indiacator came on..i could have swore my brake lights were all good prior, so i double checked my lights and they were fine...turns out, the 5speed gauge assembly i put in, had a burnt circuit board, causing it to think i had a bad brake light...i ended up taking apart both gauge assemblies and swapped the fuel/temp gauge meter over and used my original assembly and it was all good...
