ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

the guy said it had 94K on it, but its hard to tell isnt it?

it just came with the black head, and ITB, and all thos elittle things, nothing else .

    my questions are.

will i have to time the distributor, from the old eninge, onto the new one?

the header blots came out( bottom studs) and were leaking oil.... its that right?

It would be wise to check the timing again on the new engine so you will know its fine by your standards. The exaust manifold studs shouldnt come out, but if they do, they shouldnt have oil on them. that may be a problem.

of course you will have to time the distributor.
If you want it to run right.

as far as the bottom studs?
just put some new studs in there.

        any pics?

You can get a timing light. thats the easiest way.

While the engine is out you should also do the cambelt and seals.
Yes the ignition timing will have to be set once the engine has been put back in.

I have no idea what you are trying to say, but I assume you mean swap over the parts that diddn't come with the new one?

what i meant is since the new engine did not come with a distributor, it is going to be a harder swap for me. and as far as all the seals, the h.Gasket seems new, and the waterpump, and all that seem sorty of new also, so idk if i am going to replace, i still might. but i need to find out how to time this thing.

There's a sticky that has all the torque specs

if i were you and was not sure if the parts are new or had been replaced i would replace them with the engine out it is alot more easy to chage stuff like timing belt, waterpump, seals and things like that with it out
