ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

transmission locked up when driving down road!!!

i just drove my car for the second day after doing my h22 swap andeverything was great until today. after driving it for about 50 miles i noticed it was getting harder to go in to first and secong gear and could hear whining noises coming from the tranny. this is the first time i had trouble with this tranny seeing as i kept it in the car when i switched motors. anyway, as soon as i got to high gear after leaving my house to go to work the car made a loud bang and the front tires locked up and i skidded for about a hundred feet. it wont go in gear and wont move, even in neutral unless the clutch is pressed in, the pedal still has plenty of pressure too. so do yall think its the tranny or does it sound like my clutch is just destroyed. i know the tranny leaked a little fluid when i did the swap but not all of it and we bled it and refilled it before i even drove the car and i never saw any leaks coming from tranny either. i need help!!

I've had a few trannys blow on me and the tires didn't lock, still sounds like you need to take out the tranny and see what happened.

sounds like your drain plug came out, then you slowly lost fluid
and then messed up the tranny.

        just my analysis.

my car had same symptoms..luckily I pulled over and found the problem.

well you were right! i got the car home and went to pull the drain plug and it was finger tight. no fluid came out either. should i even bother throwin two quarts in it to see if it will start goin into gear again? i got it to go into reverse but once you let the clutch out to move it just bogs down and stalls out like the e brake is on.

why not throwing fluid in is a real easy fix!
but if you locked up, sounds like some major component failure...
            its worth a try!

which plug did you pull the 17mm or the drive ratchet plug?
