ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Driver Door LOCKED/Shut Won't Open

Well I went to the local grocery store, shut the door, and it won't open. The key has never worked in the door since I got it, to lock or unlock it. I can use the power locks and everything like normal but, it still won't open. I was told by a local garage the only way to open it would be to kick it open and replace the whole door...ANY help would be appreciated.

have you tried taking the inner door panel off and checking how the door works.. maybe if you did that you could find the problem, and just fix it from there?

thats what i would try first.. before kicking and buying a new door..

Yeah, take the door panel off and see what's goin on. Does the outer door handle do anything when you pull it, is there any friction, or does it just kind of flop around?

And from what you said about that shop, I'd NEVER take anything back there, that's just retarded of them to even say some shit like that.

I bet they have claims against them on the BBB's website.

I've had the door panel off for about a month. Nothing's worked, I'm thinking about drilling it but, I'm unsure of where to drill it. Yet kicking at this point seems workable...lol How hard would it be to fix if I did kick it open?

Thanks guys for everything so far!

have a body shop look at it. Sometimes, in my experience, mechanics can be ignorant about that kind of stuff. Being an auto body technician myself, I love these kinds of challenges. And since you already have the door panel off, that will make it easier for somone to diagnose.

So kicking it open, how much trouble/work would I have? I'm not sure where to drill and I'm tired of crawling through...

                          Lol.

I had to hook a chain around the door on my wrecked sedan and pull it off with a four wheeler.

                          Good luck kicking it open.
