ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

How is that relevant in helping?

OP - You need to elaborate a little bit.
What size are the pistons, are they even for an F22? A part number would help more.
What supporting mods are you planning on doing for 11:1 pistons?

Also why would you want 11:1 pistons when you just made a thread about turboing the F22?

I would have to change the rods too if i wanted to change the pistons right?

Yes. Stock rods will not work with aftermarket pistons.

Before you start buying parts, and before you start doing what other people have done just because you like their cars, learn a bit. Learn what you're doing with all the parts you want. You have a good start, and I applaud you for that much. You're actively looking into upgrades, and not just saying "tell me how to make my car faster!"

You need to make a plan. 11:1 pistons are more for a non-turbo setup. You CAN go turbo on that, but it'll be difficult to tune it safely. That probably wouldn't be a daily driver. Most turbo cars have MUCH lower compression.
If you want turbo, you also have to take the type of piston material into consideration. Turbo pistons expand more than NA pistons... which is why built turbo engines sound like diesels when they're cold. Because of this rattling around, sleeving your block would be a good idea!

Get this book: Honda/Acura Engine Performance by Mike Kojima. I'm quite sure you can still find it in most bookstores, or if you want to help support this site, www.cb7tuner.com/bookstore.htm and buy it from there.
The book is a great beginner book. I read it from cover to cover about 6 times when I was new. You'll know when you've learned all the book can teach you when you can go through and pick out the author's errors.

Any thoughts about me putting a turbo in my auto f22a? Just trying to see if its a good idea or not. I'm still doing research myself i just wanna hear other opinions.

If you put it in your motor, it might get in the way of the pistons. Best to bolt it to the outside.

Honestly, it's up to you. As long as you research and do things right, there are no bad options... just a matter of what you like!

This past weekend, I drove an STi and got a ride in an S2000. Turbo and NA. I loved them both, but they were two completely different animals.
