ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Weber Carb. instead of Fuel Injected?

I seen a racing f22 with a weber carb and was woundering if there are such things for our CB7's.
Also I don't really know the difference between the two as far as power and all that goes.
Would it be to your advantage to have a Carb over a fuel injected car?

Also how hard would it be to swap from fuel injected to Carb and are there any DIY's on it?

    This car's specs.

    sohc f22 N/A

F22A on Weber carbs, gasoline, our H/F2d adapter plate system, and 1.52 sixty foots.

i believe the f20a or one of our accords 1990 year came carbed. I forgot exactlly which one.

they may (im probably wrong) of done that to get some ITBs. but i see no need for it to convert to that.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

    Retro!

I love nooBs...They make me look good

That would be Bisi's car. He has since gone to fuel injection, but he did some amazing things with carbs.

www.bisimoto.com or check out his Member Shop here on the site. The man is an absolute genius.

But yes, there were carb'd versions of the F series engine in the Japanese and European markets. We never got them.

i was just talking to one of my friends about the carb swap. he did it to an 86 si civic and it ran good. i was wondering how hard it would be to do it to an f22

Get an intake manifold from a carb'd CB, and it'd be pretty straightforward, I'm sure. I'd have no idea what to do with carbs, as I'm only experienced with FI... but it'd be easier than learning to tune an ECU, I'm sure!

According to some of Bisi's posts on this site (search through his posts to read them... Bisimoto) carburetors have great potential when you know what you're doing with them. He finally went to FI though, so assume he reached the extent of what he could do with the carbs (which is probably the very limit of the carbs themselves, as Bisi is awesome)
