ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

aftermarket rods.. are in some cases thicker and have tigher clearances with the cylinder wall.. or in some cases actually hit the wall when pre-aseembly is done.

so notching the wall is necessary to provide adequate clearance

    like so

o ok i c. well as u might have read i don't have rods. been searching all dayh i think imma go with crower. those pauter and carillo are very expensive. i really dont c the difference in the a, i, h and x beam rods. which is strongest?

the lettering signifys the overall design of the Rod.. look at I beam rods.. and look at H beam rods.. and you can see the "I" or the "H" design in it.. it actually looks like the Letter..

any other letter signifys the performance stage of the rod.. that varies with manufacture to manufacture.

now when looking for rods.. i couldnt find crower (For ghostcb7s build) what i found was the pauters.. or carillos..

the brian crowers (B.C) and Crowers.. were for h22a's.. didnt have any h23a.. maybe i just didnt look hard enough.. but totally dont regret the decision.. the pauter rods were great.. and held up to alot of 20psi abuse..

the pauters we have are H beam.. they were about 650ish or so.. close to 700.. no were near 900.. so im positive the pauters your referring to are the 1000hp rated rods..

                  not really needed.. tad overkill..

ill see if i can find the part number for what we got

yes.. arp headstuds are a must to keep the head from lifting/flexing under high horsepower

first off.. you cant compare the civic/integra market to ours.. their supply and demand is different.. therefore their pricing is different.. you can get pistons and rods.. as cheap as 600 for both.. vs us.. were near 1k for both piston/rod combo.. its just how it goes..

definetly dont mind helping.. Send me a PM with everything you plan on doing

                      goals..

                      setup..

                      power levels..
                      etc

ill see what i can help with

Are you planning turbo to reach your goals? I assume so, with 300+hp daily driver goals... If you are planning NA, then DEFINITELY Stop now and rethink your strategy. There's no way a 350hp NA H23 would be a daily driver... and honestly, you'd probably be the first 350hp NA H23 in the world!

boosted... already been boosted.. but its auto..

so well see where this goes..ive steered him away from making some wrong decisions..

its his "tuners" fault that his engine blew it.. no boost gauge.. doing crazy pulls.. smart...
