ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    EGR code 12 after swap

Tell me if I am heading down the wrong path here:

Code 12 after the H22 swap and a little bit of stumbling here and there. '91 Accord, P13, previous owner of the H22 just used a block-off plate when it was installed in the Civic. I decided to transfer the EGR from my F22 to the H22 since I used my stock harness and I wanted to attain something I've yet to experience in any of my swapped Hondas, NO MILs.

The system that worked perfectly on the car before the swap is now seeing insufficient lift, so I'm thinking that with the block-off plate on there for a couple of years the plumbing is jammed full of carbon that had nowhere to go. The inlet side of the blockoff plate was black, possibly strengthening this theory.

From my research on the EGR system that my P13 originally ran and the system in the Accord, the voltage, vacuum, and signals are the same - they just have different component locations (except for the EGR valve/diaphragm thing). Or am I missing something here that the P13 wants to see and the Accord never had?

You should be ok with the F22A EGR. Try pouring some seafoam into the egr hole and let it sit for a while to see if it will clean some of that crap out. If not, you might want to do the EGR port cleaning which is described in a thread in the DIY forum.
