ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Boosting f22a

Is it even worth trying to boost or supercharge a f22a or just go for the swap?

the f series are a decent motor to boost bc of low compression and cast sleeves. h22 compression ration is 10.1. throw 10-14 more psi of boost at it, and v-tec and its been known to tear things up. BUT there are boosted h22's on this site making well over 500hp. all depends on ur money and a well built motor to take to spool.

              the rebuild!

Check out the Members Rides section... look at people's setups, and decide for yourself what you want.

The F22A has PLENTY of potential. There are 300whp F22As runnnig around... Naturally Aspirated (as in, no turbo... all motor)

exchange your stock internals for "better" aftermarket ones. is the plainest answer i can give.
look around the site. read up. knowledge is power.

Boosted F series are worth it for the $ vs HP IMO
H22's can make good power too no doubt about that.

                          1) Do you want boost or N/A?
                          2) What kind of maintenance / reliability factor are you looking for?
                          3) How long are you prepared to go without your CB while doing the Swap / boost project?

Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

well if you don't know what to do after you basic upgrades....look at your potential goals..
let say turbo...well if its a f22a..you might what to think about at least...cleann..relacing parts with new ones...upgrading necessary parts...

suspension...this is a must if you really want to put the horse power and torque to use...there isn't anything worst that having a crappy suspension system with a "500" horse car...coilovers, shocks/springs, sway bars, etc..point blank...your not going to be happy if you don't do it

Braking system...uhhhh....you neeeeedd to stop as soon as possible after dramatically increasing your cars power..so upgrade your braking system to help out...rotor over hub with prelude vtec/accord wagon calipers and then add 11.1 prelude rotors, SS brake lines, etc

oh yeah and read....how you think I know about what Im telling you and I know a few things myself...lots of information on this forum

                            hope that helps
