Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    ??H23A1 Tranny Swap??

    Hey guys i gotta buddy that whats to sell me an H23A1 5speed tranny for $175.......and im thinking about getting it cuz i want a manual car soooo bad right now, but i was just wondering what you guys think about this tranny...good or bad

    Ohh...and the prelude only had 170/k on it

    Good deal... gears are shorter, acceleration is better, but gas mileage is a little worse. Thats a really good price

      Yeah i know!! but how much worst for MPG ,and im still not convinced on doing it.....just wanna see how many people will go for it given the opertunity??

        Anybody else have a take on the H23 Tranny?? or better YET...does anyone have one in thier CB's???

          A number of people do. Check out the Members Rides section.

          The gas mileage isn't that bad. I have an H22, complete with the H22 tranny, and I still get 28-32mpg... without driving it like a granny. The H22 transmission has even shorter gears than the H23.

            Cool!! thnx man.....looking forward to getting that Tranny of him and swaping it in.......still gotta pic up some misc..though!! I dont remember seeing that auto to 5 speed tread in a while.... Deleted??

              Shouldn't be. Threads tend to get pushed to the bottom of the pile quickly, as this site is quite active. You might have to search a few pages back.

                        I understand the tranny to be a good go between the F22 and H22 tranny. I read the h23 gears are longer than the h22 gears and shorter than the F22. This may have been some of the gears.

                            I JUST finished my H22 swap and I have an H23 tranny and I got mine for about the same price that you got yours only mine had <60K on it and I had to drive to philly to get it. But I have to say,.... I'M LOVING EVERY ASPECT OF IT!! DEFINITELY GET IT

                              If you have to ask, you won't know what you're looking at anyway. Unless you can take it apart and know what the inside condition is supposed to be, all you can do is hope the seller isn't taking you for a ride.
