ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    lowering spring????

i need some help on how far i can low my car if i going to lowered it?

    what's the normal hide ride?

    #2
Not to be a smartass but pretty much as low as you want. The lower you go the more careful you have to be when driving. People have ripped off their oil pans and lips etc etc. Maybe i'm not understanding your question or it's not stated clearly enough. Coilovers are pretty much the best way to go but you're gonna have to pay to play. They normally give you about 3 inches or so to play with. That way if you do go too low you could always raise it back up some more.

It's not safe to use suspension parts made for another car... if your suspension fails, you crash. You could hurt yourself, or worse, someone else.

              Just do it right.

90-97 accords share the same shock spring combo, you CAN use the 94-97 springs and be safe, what deev meant was not to use the 87 accord springs or worse civic or integra springs. Some people have been asking those questions a lot lately.

The shock valving may be different for the 94-97, but overall, they're similar enough to be relatively safe.

Regardless, there is NO good reason to ever use parts that aren't intended for your car. There are plenty of parts available that are correct for your application.

Nobody carries 4th gen coilovers? Where are you looking, Wal Mart? They're EVERYWHERE! The thing is to get quality ones... most of what you are going to find will be crap. Don't spend $50 on something that your life depends on (and for the love of god, replace the shocks when you lower your car!)
