ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

there not made to be changed, well mabey it can be done, but would be much easier to just pick up a newer throttle body wit the sensor in. thats what i did. u sure ur tps is bad? 13 mpgs may be something else...

correct me if I'm wrong but when the tps goes it sets a code(hey that rimed, lol). If you have poor gas mileage why don't u try and clean up the throttle body and do a tune-up before anything else.

The "rivets" on the TPS are nothing more than headless screws. Notch them with a hacksaw and back them out like regular screws.

To install a new one, you have to calibrate it. The information on how to do that is online... I'm heading to work now, so I don't have time to write that all out. Search for it.

ok thanks i didnt know they were like screws. and i did a full tune up and cleaned the throttle body. but my idle is constantly at like 1300-1600. bvefore i had a idle surge i unplugged the tps and it went away. so i thought my tps was cracked and searching. i was also told that i should check my iacv. but what does everyone think? i found a tb from a 93 accord for like $25 shipped. and was thinking i would just use that. and get some bolts from fastenal.

Well, for sure if your tps is bad, you should be getting a code (I think the code is 7). If you're going to change the tps, just get the tps alone from the junkyard for under $10 rather than the whole TB for 25. For the idle surging, try tightening down the fitv.
