ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    DC header/down pipe tip size?

Guys, i forgot what the size of the tip in a DC header is...
    2.25?
I need to match my cat + exhaust and can't remember what the size was.

whatever it was, it fit with my stock cat piping perfectly. So as long as you're using a oem style cat then it will work.

So if its stock like, then what is the point of getting a bigger exhaust?

yea the collector is really the draw back of a quality header. The header design is probably more free flowing overall than a stock one. Some people like Jdm_inspired use a two piece header with a 3" collector

Thanks for using me as reference

I actually have a 4 piece tri-y header. I also have a 2.5 inch collector. Your DC is more than likely a 2.25 collector. There are some 2.5 inch collectors floating around.

              Great...!
So it does make sense ordering a larger exhaust...
              Thanks guys!

The F22 DC header's collector is no bigger than 2.0", if even that big. It's definitely not 2.25" or 2.5". I'm eventually going to have mine cut at the "2->1" junction and 2.5" pipe welded in with a universal cat. So that's an option to keep open if you want to maximize your flow

yeah its prob. exactly 2". Even my GReddy 421 header has a 2" collector for my H22. That SUCKS! soon when i swap for a 5spd i'm installing a Hotshot 4-1 equal length runner header that has a 3" collector but reduced to 2.5" for the highflow cat and to match my exhaust.

It's 2". So is their cat-back system. I know cause I have both pieces and I just ordered a Flowmaster HushpowerII to install in place of my bad high-flow cat. I measured twice, ordered once.
