ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

check vac lines, especially to the brake booster. test/replace the inline check valve to the booster & make sure it's in the correct way.

edit - I own a MX-3, they are notorious for rpms dropping & lights dimming because you push the brake. lol this is the common answer for them

is there any easy way to check vac leak beside just looking at the hoses? not just brake and turning wheel will drop my rpm, especially with the lights on and the a/c kick in, it made it worst.

If you have one of the small propane tanks with a nozzel on it (like used for plumbing), you can just crack the valve so that propane is coming out and then move it through your engine bay, going over all the hoses, with the engine at idle. If you hear the engine pick up any, it is from the propane, which means you have a vacuum leak.

check your air boost valve. it's suposed to keep your idle steady when stuff is turned on like A/C.

ok i found there a few of the vac hoses to tb is cracked, so i replaced them, but it didn't fix the problem, where is the air boost valve and how to check it? is it #7 at that pic? my rpm is fine it stays at 800 when stop, but i noticed that when i turn the steering wheel when the car at full stop, it wil drop the rpm, also when i closed the power window all the way up, it also drop the rpm, then when i let go the window switch it will go back to 800, i dont get it. the battery is new and the alternator is fine.

Sounds like normal to me. Everyone's RPM drops when they turn the wheel (the power steering pump is a hydraulic pump, and making it work loads the engine). Same thing with the windows, you are drawing electricity, which loads the alternator, which loads the engine.

How far does it drop? 100-200 RPM isn't a big deal.
