ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    tranny swap

hey guys i searched the forums but nothing came up. anyway i have a 90lx 4 door with an automatic transmission. i found a 92 accord ex 2 door 5 speed manual. i was wondering if i could swap transmissions out of the EX and into my LX. I have the whole car so parts wont be an issue.
    thanks in advance Ean

Yes everything will swap over. The ex tranny has a couple shorter gears in it so it would be a little better in that sense. But you'll need the esp auto to 5 speed mount or cut the tranny bracket out of that car and weld it into yours.

I would recomend buying the esp auto to 5 speed mount.

The 5 speed transmission bracket that is spot welded to the engine bay would have to have every spot weld drilled out to remove it. Then remove the auto bracket in your car the same way. To get it in the right spot i would put the tranny on and bolt it up to mock the 5 speed bracket up with the transmission mount on and everything. Then weld it to the engine bay. But don't forget to get the paint off.

The head will go right on and your right about the dizzy.

swapping heads does not net enough power to be worth the work. if anything just swap the A6 cam in.

as far as the tranny swap there are quite a few write ups on how to do it and what you will need may just need to refine your search a bit.
