Lesson learned: take pictures or otherwise make diagrams of which coolant hoses go where. I'm in the process of installing my H23 IM into my '93 LX. I'm in the last stages of this installation, namely attaching coolant hoses. The intake manifold has three coolant hoses.
One of these is large and goes to the thermostat, got that.
The other two are smaller.
What is the proper order for flow of coolant? The H23 throttle body doesn't have coolant going through it, and I am temporarily bypassing the FITV (until i can find one!).
My understanding is that the coolant, with respect to the smaller diameter hoses, flows from the top smaller hose of the thermostat. From here it would go to the throttle body (FITV on the H23), then to the upper small hose of the IM, then the lower, then the IACV, then back into the lower small diameter coolant hose of the thermostat. Is this correct?
Thanks
