ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It's very similar to the H22. Overall, the H22 makes more sense as far as the cost and the powerband go. The only real benefit to the F20B, other than being unique, is the higher redline.

The F20B was created by Honda so they could enter the SiR-T into a 2.0L racing class. The engine had to be a production model, so they released it to the public. It's an engine purposely built with a displacement limitation.

Yes, be ordinary. Don't try to be different!
F20b's are a MAJOR waste of money.

If being different is important, then the F20B is fantastic. If a wide, usable powerband, and an affordable motor are important, the H22 will serve better.

Getting an inferior motor just because it's not as common is pretty dumb.

Someone swap in an F18! NOBODY in the US has one of those!

There's just as much potential with the F20b as there is with the H22. Saying it's "inferior" is just your opinion, some other's will feel the same, some will completely disagree. The biggest "problem" I see with the F20b is slightly less tq, which can be changed for relatively cheap.

Slightly less torque, and a peaky powerband. The power that the H22 makes is in a much more usable range.
Not that the F20B is a bad motor. It's far from bad. It's quite good, actually... but the important thing is to get the motor that best fits what you want in YOUR car... not basing the decision by what everyone else has in theirs. Getting a motor because everyone else has something else is as dumb as getting a motor because everyone else has it.

It'd be a pretty boring world if everyone was the same...

If you want to be different... you're driving the wrong car. The 16 year old kid down the street has one for his first car. The old grandma in the other direction drives one. The 33 year old with 3 kids and a lazy wife around the block has one he can barely keep running. And then you have the THOUSANDS of members here that are into modifying them...

Yeah, you are not a precious and unique snowflake.
