ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

      Another Update

Okay so my mechanic checked out the car today and this is what he did:

      Check for fuel: Good
      Check all fuses again: Good
      Check For spark again: Fail
Check Timing belt: Good (thank god)
Changed coil: Done by me but not the problem. Dammit!!

After doing all that, he said that changing the Ignition Control Module might not even solve the problem. The reason for this is because he has a Civic in his shop right now with the same symptoms. The starter kicks but the car won't turnover. He changed the ICM and coil and got nothing.

However, another reason he tells me this is because both the Civic and my CB have alarms. I have only had mine for barely two months. It has remote start and a kill switch.

So tomorrow I am going to ask the guy that did the job if he hooked up the kill switch to the harness before it hits the dizzy, because I know he didn't hook it up to the fuel pump because I'm getting fuel.

Final Update it was the ICM

Well guys I am happy to say that my car is up and running again. It turned out to be the Ignition Control Module (Ignitor). I spent more money than I had to but it went to parts that will need replacing anyway so it's not really a problem.

The only downside is I will have to wait a little for my coilovers

        Thanks to everyone that helped.

Where did you get your ICM from? My car has the same problems right now and I have checked everything you changed and checked.

Congrats sir! At least you found the problem then having it fixed. Would have cost a pretty penny.

I'd have snagged an igniter from the junkyard before buying new... but buying new, although expensive, is always the better route for things that wear out.

My junkyard lets me take them for free... so whenever mine dies, I just grab another Coils are $5.

Glad to hear it's fixed! When you mentioned the alarm, that made me thing "oh boy... the problem is in someone else's crappy wiring job"... and THAT would be a pain to find and fix... Stock wiring problems are bad enough, but when they wires have been tampered with, who knows what could be wrong!
