ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Does this VTEC engine fit our Vehicles?

I think this is pretty cheap. It's interesting they don't mention mileage.

It is possible, yes. Requires alot of wiring as its an OBD-II motor and were are OBD-I.

I've been reading info on VTEC engines, the swap guide and requirements etc... and want to start setting a goal for a swap in the future.

This might be a noob question, but if the engine is OBD-II, and you got the tranny that came out of that car, also OBD-II and the ECU/TCU were both OBD-II....would wiring really be that hard? You essentially just be swapping everything to this car, parts AND wires.

cant u use the f22 harness anyways, just wire the vtec up, and i beleive you dont have to use the obd2 computer , isnt there a swap guide for this ?!

There is a swap guide but I believe they are not for this engine model. This engine is like for the next generation of Honda's. That's why I was wondering if it would work for our vehicles. I'm not buying it, I'm just gathering ideas/info.

                        Thanks!!!

yes you can thats what i did its only 1 wire to add unlike the h22 its 3 to 5

on obd2 engines the tcu is inside the ecu its all one main computer, and i think the hardest part about switching to obd2 is adding all the sensors, and the immobilizer

no it doesnt even less then an h22 unless you use the f20b injectors then its just depinning the obd1 injector clips an dputting the obd2 ones on

Thanks for the clarification. I figure if I'm gonna swap I do want a younger engine to keep the ride going for a long time after plunking down $1500+ on a 20+ year old car..
