ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Brake Help

I Need To Change My Front Brakes, But I Never Work On Accord Brakes, Is Any Thread For Front Brakes I Notice That I Need To Remove My Axel! Can Any Body Help Me What The Easier Way To Do It?? Thanks U

no you dont have to remove your axle, lool

    this is what you do,

axle nut, lower ball joint, lift the knuckle out of the control arm, and turn it to the side, notice the 4 bolts on the back on the knuckle? untighten them, then go to the front and untighten the front bolts, go back to the back, remove the rear 4, get bolts that have the same theard and diameter , put them in the hole, and whack the fuck out of them in a star partern like you were putting on a tire one then the oposite, when the bearing hub comes out simple place in on the ground remove the front bolts, re fit to new rotor and brakes.
oh i didnt meantion there is only 2 17mm bolts holding the calipers on so if your talking about the brake pads and not a full brake job them just remove the 2 bolts replace the shoes and bam

shoes? I think he is talking about the fronts.

      tools to have:

      big c-clamp
      17mm wrench, or ratchet
      rubber mallet
      brake cleaner

the fronts are cake. just remember when pushing the piston back open the resavor. Also if your going to start working on your car, invest in a haynes manual.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

oh, most guys hate the hub over rotor design. i love it, takes me about 30 minutes per axle. i use a offset 10mm to get to the hub bolts, take off the center axle bolt and the caliper and im gold. Though i done it a million times.

          most people hate them.

I like rotor on hub, where you just take off the caliper and bracket and the rotor comes right off. But we got a new on car brake lathe in the shop so now as long as they are meaty enough.. its no sweat.
