ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

How do I remove the C-Pillars and the passenger oh shit handle?

It looks like I have to remove the rear seats to take the c-pillar out.. witch I don't mind doing cause I want to clean back there anyway.. But I don't see how to get the seats out..

And the passenger oh shit handle I done see the screws like the rest of them have... It looks like its screwed in under the headliner.. I'm trying to get the headliner out.

Take your back seat and fold it down. Then go to the bottom of it on the backside and look at the corners. You should see a bolt on each side that I think is a 10 or 12mm. I just did this the other day but I can't remember the size. After you take those two out the back of the back seat should pull out. Then look on the driver's side or maybe the middle where the back of the back seat meets the bottom and you should see another bolt holding the bottom in. Take that out, lift from the back of the seat and fold it forward, then pull straight up. There is a hook like thing on each side of the back seat that you'll see once you do what I just said and you'll see what i'm saying.

You should not have to take the headliner out. The handle should have a cap with a screw under it. Maybe you see the hook that is making you think that it is under the headliner? As for the seats, you have to pull the back of the bottom of the seat forward and the front part has hooks.

Edit* I was going to add more but I see the post above me explains most of it.

I've never removed the headliner. I'll have to go outside and look at it and see if I can come up with anything to help you man.

you don't have to fold the bench seat down to remove the c-pillar covers. as stated previously, there's a little cover about halfway up the c-pillar, but you don't have to remove any hardware behind it, iirc. if you pry the cover off, it makes it a little easier to pry the c-pillar cover off as you're able to get a bit more leverage. the pillar covers are held up with nothing but pressure clips. be careful though, because they break easily. here's a mini-diy i wrote a while back for the audio/electronics section...

              http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showpost...38&postcount=9

and here are the most important parts from that post...

CAREFULLY pry off your A, B, and C pillar covers - they're held together by pressure clips, approximately four inches or so between each clip. then remove a few screws.

once the covers are out, you'll see two screws on each end of the headliner, one on each door-side. i'm guessing these are directly between the door jambs on a sedan, because they're right after the door jambs on a coupe. these are the only screws physically securing the headliner onto the car.

with those two screws removed, you can proceed to removing the following items - each of which containing two or more screws holding the headliner in place:
              • the dome light (5 screws?)
              • passenger headliner handles (6 screws)
              • visors, and rear-view mirror (7 screws)

-be sure to keep everything organized. there are four washers to each screw in our handle assemblies. some of these screws are self-tapping, and are fit to different lengths/threading.

once you've removed all those headliner accessories and their respective hardware, all you have to do is pull the headliner off the car's roof. there are about a dozen pressure clips holding it to the shell, a few along the front windshield, and a few more in the back along the rear windshield. to dislocate them, all you have to do is gently pry the headliner out from the outermost edge, along the windshields.

BE CAREFUL - the frame is pretty sharp along the edge where the metal meets the glass. don't wedge your fingers too far back there, or you're bound to get cut!

let the headliner rest on the two front seats/headrests and the rear bench. you'll notice that there's an electrical cable running from the passenger side A pillar to the dome light area - clearly, you're going to have to get that loose in order to remove the headliner from the car.

follow the cable to the top of the headliner, and you'll see that it recesses beneath a foam sheet. you're going to have to cut the foam along the cavity holding the dome light cables. feel it out, and be sure to cut carefully.

now, with the dome light connector/cable out of the headliner, you're free to remove it from the car. coupe owners, the headliner can be removed through either door, with a bit of maneuvering. alternatively, you can fold your rear bench down and slide it out of the trunk. sedan owners... the trunk is the only way to go.
              My pictures/photos will return soon...
