I hear alot of hype about a p28 chipped ecu. what exactly is it? i know its an ecu but what are the big differences?? can i use it with my 2.2 sohc non vtec? Are there any big gains??( I have bisi cam headers full exhaust cold air intake) with my set up?

better off chipping a p06. cheaper and doesnt have vtec which is why people with h22's go for the p28. if you get vtec later you can add it to a p06

at this point, sounds like your learning...
go with a p12 its plug and play and has proven gains!

I don't condone saying this... so please, nobody echo me...
But please... SEARCH! People are being very helpful and pointing you in the right direction. The answers to all these questions can be found very easily. Someone says "P12 ECU", try Google... P12 ECU... chances are, you'll find a thread on this very site that goes into detail, rather than someone giving you a short answer that you might not even understand because they've already said it a million times.
Any "chipped" ECU is not for you right now, unless you have considerable modifications, and know what you're dealing with... or know someone that does.
The P28 and P06 are both Civic ECUs. P28 is a VTEC ECU, and is usually used in our cars for motors like the H22A. The P06 in non-VTEC, and is ideal for non-VTEC motors like our stock F22A

Ive installed the P12 ECU and I do feel an extra kick. Its worth it for just a plug and play item. Before I installed this ECU, I did alot of research to understand what I was getting myself into.Comment
