Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    H22 Bolt on's?

    Anyone know some bolt on power mods for the H22, I would like to do turbo but i just don't have the cash to build the engine for it right now.

    This is what ive got so far:
    JDM H22a1

    -Fidanza aluminum flywheel
    -4-1 header with 2 1/2" mandrel bent piping to the back.
    - Short ram intake with basic cone filter
    -Exedy Stage 1 clutch
    -Manual timing belt tensioner(not a power mod but recommended when replacing the timing belt) there is a kit you can buy for it.
    -new Plugs, wires, cap, rotor.

    any suggestions on other things i can add?

    Not really too much more you can do with just bolt ons. Only thing I really can think of right now is get a better header with a bigger collector, get a Bisimoto heat shielding intake manifold gasket, send your throttle body out to maxbore.com, and doublestack your IAB's. Thats really not going to get you that much more power though. Get cam gears and get a dyno tune.

        I'm not too sure as I do not have a H22 but I heard that AEM is a good name. I'm sure someone else could help you a little better with that question.

        The thing I do know though is that you cannot use cam gears properly without a dyno so unless you plan on getting a tune, don't even bother with them.

          I've heard mixed reviews of cam gears... they aren't really something to concern yourself with just yet.

          Cams would be a better investment.

          Some Unorthodox Racing pullies, especially the crank pulley, will free up some power (be warned, it is said that the crank pulley can cause oil pump failure... I've been running one since 2004, over 60,000 miles, and I've had no issues, but that's just me... do this at your own risk!)

          I'm sure your header is not a really good one, as they cost quite a bit... but significant gains can be had from a GOOD header. Be advised, the ones worth owning are in the 4 figure price range.

          Weight reduction is a BIG help. Not an engine mod, but dropping some weight from your car is a great way to make it faster. Look things over and see what you can do without. When I hit the track, all seats that I'm not using myself come out

                Sorry, i read the signature and understand what it says.. I was just wondering if it was old or is current, as i forget to change my sig sometimes. If this is still the case then I am sorry for bringing it up.

                  I run this site. Everything that I say is current.

                  They will be available again soon. When they are, I will make it VERY clear. If you have to ask, I have not made it VERY clear... and therefore, they are not for sale.

                  When they are, there will be no question. It will be quite obvious. Trust me... I'm paying for the site out of pocket without the added (if minimal) assistance of decal sales... I will be very anxious to get back to selling them once I can!

                    h22 is not 1 for quick bolt power adders. just as deevergot said cams r a good investment. skunk2 stage 1 w/ skunk2 intake manifold, header 2" exhaust & good tuning got me 236 whp.

                      Stuff 4 sale 2nd gen dsm turbo manifold, ebay type s blowoff valve, 93 ex pt6 ecu, f22a6 camshaft, f22a6 intake manifold, obd1 p13 ecu

                          Idk if I would do an underdrive pulley. If i'm not mistaken, when you take out the stock one you are removing the harmonic balancer which will only lead you to more problems down the road.

                              If you plan on going turbo dont wast your money on a header and intake cause youre just going to replace em anyway. If you ur dedicated to goin turbo start upgrading like bigger throttle body, get an intake mani, and fuel system crap.
