ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    low vacum pressure

I just finished my h22a1 swap and my intake vacum is only 10 inches now I checked my egr and adjusted timing and nothing still @ 10 inches, now I think (not sure) that the problem could be a vacum hose. The one @ the opposite end of the throttle body there's two hoses one for cruise control and I don't know where the other hose goes can someone help me out please

So I unhooked the vacum to the fuel pressure regulator and the vacum pressure went up to 14 now my question is could it be the oxygen sensor that I don't have cuz the wires got pulled out, can my air fuel ratio be messed up cuz of that

What kind of liquid would be best to tell me if there is a leak?

id use brake clean or carb clean, spray around the manifold and if the idle rises then you just pin pointed your spot.

How does the car run when its idleing?
Sure your vac gauge is reading correctly?

well seeing as your O2 sensor sends a signal to your ecu to tell the car the mixture or the exhaust yeah not having that O2 will prolly make it run pretty rich

Well since I disconected the egr and fuel pressure vacum its running at 14 inches with both connected it hit 2 iches and kept bouncin to ten, my teacher said it could be that I don't have the oxygen sensor connected and it could be leaning out

Fix it first (replace broken O2 sensor), then trouble shoot. If you know there is something wrong take care of that first.

A faulty o2 sensor won't cause low vacuum. Is it idling fine or does it feel like it's dying?
