Hey whassup, i tried to search but nothing answers my question, well, my car has been sitting for 2 years now, and i finally got it up and running again...the alternator was new befor my bro left. no it won't hold a charge, the batt indicator light doesn't go on. it usally does when ur alt is not holding a charge, took off the negative terminal and it died out, i disconnected the green harness and the batt indicator light won't go on. all grounds are good, is there any fuses where i can check to see if it's good...is there a rebuild kit for an alternator?

Where I live we have an alternator shop that will rebuild them for $30 or $40 bucks. But I don't know if you can buy a kit and do it yourself.

Less of a headache to just replace it but you can get parts to fix yourself.
