Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    turbo or not?

    im debating whether to add a turbo to my f22a1 (i dont want to do any internal work) or leave it be and just get a header exhaust and short ram intake.. its my daily driver and im thinking about reliability. what do you guys think?

    DD and reliability? Go n/a, especially if it's going to be your first boosted car.

      n'a , the turbo will just give you problems in long run and more $$$$

        it would be my second boosted car. i had a mx6 turbo back in the day.. very reliable car

          Of course that would be reliable. It came with a turbo from the factory. When you get into boosting a car like the CB7 that was not meant to have forced induction, thats where the problems come into play.

          The fact that you even started this thread proves that you most likely not ready to boost. I have been on this site for a while and I have did a lot of research and did a lot of searching about forced induction ever since I joined and I still am not ready to boost.

          There is a whole section on forced induction. I suggest you read in there and also get some books to learn more like Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost". It will all pay off and make putting together your turbo much easier.

            Sounds like you're talking yourself into going boost. It can be reliable if everything is done right, but it can also cost a lot of money to get it to the point of having everything done right. For sure keeping it stock would be more reliable, so if that's your concern stay n/a

              If its your daily driver, keep it simple, use quality parts. If you want to have more power and still be a dependable dd consider doing an a1 to a6 upgrade.

              If you want to go beyond that, then consider p&p the intake manifold & head, add a bisimoto level 2 cam regrind and you'll be doing pretty good.

                yeah a n/a is more reliable even though im going turbo but it does cost alot. and it is my dd but thats why im going to have it done the best i can afford even though it mit take longer to get done.
