Hey guys, I had my front and rear passenger side windows broken out last night. I was wondering if the glass is the same for power and non power windows and maybe if you could give me a difficulty rating on replacing the glass yourself. I have basic tools and I'm not really afraid of tackling it, I would just like to know how bad it is or if I should shell out the money I really don't have and have them put in.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Its very easy. Once the door panel is off all you need is a 10mm socket 6" extension and a ratchet. Extension is optional but makes it a hell of a lot easier.
Set the window track where you can easily see both bolts. the right side bolt is aimed perfectly through a hole in the door skin (its about the size of a half dollar and its about halfway down the door) you should see both 10mm gold bolts and just crack them loose. now the track will shift and the bolts will slide out of the track! Finally rotate the window clockwise (Driver side windows) or counterclockwise ( passenger side windows) and it should come up and out!

Obviously your glass has been removed for you so basically if your setup is like mine just go in reverse order when installing the new windows.

I have a tab on the glass that slides inside a track towards the back of the door frame. You have to roll the window all the way down, then peel out an adhesive trim strip to expose four phillips screws. Remove those screws and carefully remove the track. Then put the window up to where you can access the 10mm bolts and remove them...

Thanks for the all the replies guys. I think I am gonna give it shot. I know I'm just gonna be frustrated as hell doing something I shouldn't have to. I don't know why someone would pick my car to break in to being rusty and dirty. Good thing is they didn't get my deck but broke my glovebox handle trying to get the face and I locked my truck so no subs or amp for them bastards. I'm guessing that they got pissed and that is why they broke the second window. It had to be someone in the neighborhood but I don't even bump my shit til I'm well out of hearing distance.
