ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    OVERHEATING PROBLEM! please help :(

Hey Guys. ok so this is how the story goes. couple of weeks ago i noticed a small damp spot on my driveway and it was RIGHT under the front of the car. I knew something was up. i thought it was my oil/oil filter. But then i had changed it not TOo long ago. and i had 1000kms to go.

for a while now that same spot in my driveway is damp. And JUST today as i was heading out. i notcied that spot had dried up and that no more fresh black damp spots were there.

So then as i was driving, i stopped at a red light. and i looked at my Water temp. and OH MAN IT WAS ON "H" like it was ALL the way up there. i was freaking out. then as i accelerated i then notcied the temptures went down towards the C and stayed somewhere Just under the middle. where it should be. then i came to a stop/idle position and it just went up High. Does anyone know the problem? I dont know if its something with the oil or coolant. but all i can tell u is that

my car overheats on idle postion and cools down when i accelerate to higher speeds. And there Was a leak underneath my car while ago. and now no more leaks. PLease help. THANKS GUYS i know i wrote alot.

Sounds like your sensor is going out. also it could be your coolant, most likely your coolant check your coolant if its full check all fuses and wires. also if you live somewhere warm and turn on the air conditioner it lets compressed water out so just to let you know... sounds like either coolant or oil... also could be brake fluid lol check everything... make sure you have coolant!!! thats a must...

hey yeah ok. so i waited a while now for the car to cool down. and checked my radiator fluid. i opend the pressure cap. and : O NOTHING at all. no green fluid Anywhere. i also checked that little white container that links to the radiator. and Thats dried out too. YIKES!! . so what would u recommend? well obviously refill the radiator with fluid. but i DID have a leak. so what could be causing the leak?

(wait this is my first time putting in new radiator fluid. last time we had a friend who did it and also put a new radiator. but yeah what would be the type of fluid i would have to use? 93 accord 192,000,000 km, And where would i pour it into. into the radiator right? Lol not the white container.)

50/50 Predeluted Anti-freeze for All Makes/Models. Coolant leaks are visible, if you see puddle under your car you can tell what area too look at, and when your under the hood look for spots that are wet. Yes you also top off your radiator, then fill your resevoir to the max line, if you were completely down it should take 2 bottles of coolant. Replace whatever is leaking. Check where the radiator fins and radiator top meet, usually cracks develop between the fins and the tank (not resevoir).

if you have no coolant in the radiator i would seriously suggest that you go get it pressure checked to see where the leak is. if it cools off when you accelerate that usualy means that you dont have enough coolant or your thermostat is starting to stick, when you aply pressure to it (accelerating creats pressure in the cooling system) itwill open up. but also make sure that your fans are working properly. first thing is go get it pressure checked.
