ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Suspension

Okay so i got my car inspected about two days ago, just to get a mechanics point of view of the car. My results were I had a bad o-ring around my oil cooler which was the cause of my burning oil smell, power steering minor leak, muffler rusted, and 120k tune-up coming soon(118,xxx miles) and my passenger side break was frozen as if it was being applied all the time (fixed). We'll to find out if wasn't my o-ring it was my oil pressure switch that was causing the leak so i got that repaired. But now my problem which wasn't happening like this before the inspection is that I'm now experiencing really bumpy rides just getting onto the highway is like riding a dirt road. Any idea? Ive searched the suspension part of the forum and Ive came across an answer that said it could be my struts, even though they were fine before the inspection and all.

    Do the bounce test.

Push down each section of where the struts are , if they have more than 2 bounces , they're done for.

these model accord struts lock up when they get old and are put in the air on a lift for a moderate time. try the bounce test by pressing firmly down on each corner of the car. yes they will be bouncy if they are worn out or leaking fluid, but most likely one or more of them locked up while being in the air. push on each corner and if it feels like they are excessively stiff, your strut is locked up, replace

well i attempted the bounce test and everything still feels solid. I was told by a neighbor of mine that works at Mercedes-Benz that i could have air in my shocks or so. He said that its not counter acting the shock but letting it exaggerate itself.

I've never heard that about our shocks, but it's possible, I suppose.

The shocks could still be weak, even if they pass the bounce test. They could very well be original. Mine were.

Also, check out all your ball joints, make sure your wheels are properly aligned, and see if your tires are filled correctly.
