ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    SWAP problem, electrical.

Ok so, I swapped out my f22a with a b, connected everything and she fired up and ran good for about 10 minutes until i cut her off for a rest, and to make sure she was pulling water and check for oil leaks.

    She never came back on.

CEL light was dim, like very dim, not full bright and never cut off, so, i replace the main relay with KNOWN good one, NOTHING.

Ripped the pass. floor up, pulled the bottom of the ECU off and probed the back of the soder points for the connector, Went threw and ground each off with a 20 amp voltage light, i touched the 3rd soder point from the left in the top row, connected to the orange black wire, so i cut said wire, and grounded it off tothe body ground right by the 3p connector for the CEL light. pump kicked on for 2 seconds CEL went off, and came BACK on, throwing code 1 for O2 sensor because i havent extended the harness to fit the after down pipe bung hole. and the second code is 15 ignition output signal, any ideas?

Im going to keep hunting, im pretty damn good with electrical trouble shooting, but I am almost certain it is a ground problem, which ground runs both main relay and the ingnition i cant figure this out, and like i said the car started, i hacked the ground for the relay and it works now, im getting fuel , but im not getting spark and getting CEL code 15.

    Any help would be appreciated.

anyone know of a diagram showing, ground location, wire color scheme, ect. i know for a fact that the grounds do not make it back into the wiring harness as BLACK wires, like they do in the engine bay, so on the harness connected to the ECU what wires are grounds? i mean i can figure it out by testing the voltage with a multi meter and then cutting the wires and grounds them off one at a time, but this would be a hack job.

Which F22B did you put in? Just the F22B DOHC?
Just trying to confirm that you did no splicing of the wire harness (the F22B1 would require some alteration) which would be the first place I'd look for electrical issues.

It definitely sounds like a grounding issue. I don't have the diagrams handy, but I'll see if I can find them. They're around here somewhere!
