ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    Turbo F22a6 Build. Opinions Please

Ok so i have a 92 Accord Ex Coupe with 202,xxx miles on it and it was an auto when i bought it and has been extremely well maintained.

So I swapped it over to a 5spd with and H22 Trans and exedy 6 spuck clutch.. and bought an STR Log style manifold, I have a walbro 255,precision 680cc,turbonetics 60trim,tial 38mm,Innovate LC-1 wideband, tial 50mm bov,Chipped P06 for chrome, and i still had some part laying around from my evo like a buschur 4" FMIC and going to custom make my Ic piping all alluminium, going 3in turbo back no cat with a vibrant flat black 3" muffler. I will be ordering bisimoto F22 turbo cam as well, and this summer def an OBX lsd

So i would like some opinions on this setup and what i should be hoping for power wise. This WILL NOT be dd because i have another car this is just a side project lol
    Thanks Skyler

well the f series is a decent motor to boost. i would recommend a copper head gasket to handle the extra spool, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, and it sounds like u got the rest already. im not perfect on ecu so couldn't tell ya which is better. but start out with small boost. ive heard rumors of the stock f22 with all stock bottom end holdin 30 psi, but never accually seen it. 10 would be safe i would think to start

        the rebuild!

Keep the figures low to start with - 220-260hp, and progress from there.
I probabally wouldn't attempt to go over 350hp on the stock bottom end and still be reliable.
At least throw in some rods and pistons if you do plan to exceed 300hp in the future.

my recomendations would be to not use a log manifold. They are innefficient and boost spike monsters. try a mini-ram or ramhorn. Those work well, spool real decent and make good power on street.

and if you're going to get a tial 38mm wastegate, get there new MVS vband ones. I just got a pair yesterday for my ek. theyre pretty sweet. no more bolt flanges, no more blowing gaskets and they come with race gas valves already in em(regular 38mm gates can't run leaded race gas). also they are really small, perfect for real tight engine bays.

You have a good setup going. I wanna see it together and running. Don't forget a nice sized set of injectors as well.

            happy boosting,

so your not doing any internal work to the bottom end??? Im asking because im toying with the idea of boosting as well, but at the moment dont want to invest 1k on internals if the motor can withstand 8-10 psi without buying NEW internals... Is it safe to boost with 100k+ mile motor?

Copper head gaskets are a bad idea. ONLY run an OEM honda gaskets.
stock block is good to about 15-16 psi 20 on a random day. I ran my stock block at 1 bar (14.4 psi) for about three years before a ring land broke.

your kit should net you 300+hp no problem.
