Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    obd2 to obd1

    yo guys im being a n00b with the h22 swap questions but whats it take to get a obd2 h22 from a 97 lude to work in our obd1 cars. i tryed searching couldent find but i know its on here so if you guys can lead me to the right threads or and diy for the h22 swap....thanks

    There are conversin harness for you to use. They are about $125-$175.

      so basically its the same swap as doing the 92-96 prelude h22 except for buy the conversion harness?

          Try www.nipponpower.com look in the electrical section they have them there. If you need help finding the 1 you need just e-mail them to find the 1 you need. Hope this helps.

              to go from obd2 to obd1 you'll need an obd1 ECU, distributor and injectors.

              i wouldnt reccomend going obd2 because the ECU for the h22a4 uses an immobilizer which to me is more difficult. i'm converting mine to obd1.

                dont you have to run a obd1 h22 head? because i have a h22a4 i think im going to rebuild it and trade it for a used obd1 with type S cams?

                  I have a 98 type s motor and and as N9netwoAccord, you may need the obd1 injectors and run another custom wiring. As for the ECU, you can run the p13 or the p28.

                  The obdII motors are not nice for tuning. Thats why a lot of people convert to obdI.

                    Forgot that you'll also have to run two vtec lines for it also. But that post should cover most of it.

                      like i mentioned, to get the motor to obd-1 you'll need the OBD1 distributors, ECU and distributor, the swap into the accord will be the same but only with those 3 items being swapped out... but you gave him the post and all that information is there so he should be good.

                        so what i want to do is turn the h22 thats obdII to ObdI by using that harness. and i also have to get and OBDI p13, distributor, and injectors? other then that its a regular h22 swap?

                          jumper harnesses are to convert obd2 cars to obd1. You don't need all that.

                          Like its been mentioned before up there. run your harness, obd1 injectors, ecu and dizzy. you may need to extend a few wires and change plugs.

                          you will need to wire up the vtec pressure wire and vtec solenoid. also ground the vtec pressure switch. If you run an stock P13 ecu, you'll also need to wire up the Knock sensor.
