Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Open Door Switch

    My drivers door open switch thing stopped working.

    like when i open the drivers door the light doesn't come on and the windows are always on.

    and it like killed my battery. how do i fix this

    unscrew it and clean it out. On the side of the door sill. Moves side to side. Wd-40 it. If that doesnt work then head for the jy.

        Its the black switch that slides back and forth right by the door catch on the jamb. Its held on by 1 phillips screw.

        When you pull it out there will be one wire inside plugged onto it. (Ground Fault) so don't worry about a short circuit when you unplug it.
        I break my drivers door one all the time cause I slam my seat belt in it.

        What do you mean windows are always on? Are you refering to the windows rolling up after you shut the car off? Thats normal for about 5 mins then they quit.

          That switch didn't like kill your battery. If it made the dome light stay on, yeah, but if the switch doesn't turn the light on, it's not drawing juice. You've got another problems somewhere.

          And your windows should roll up and down for ten minutes or until a door is opened, whichever comes first.

            I took that piece out. I like having the radio on with the door open with out the annoying beeping sound. I like being able to roll up my windows with my door open and the car off... Its really not too bad.
