ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    RIms

OK i bought some mortegi rims and my lug nuts dont fit! Lol so i cant put them on, can I put regular nuts or do they have to be made for cars?

    #2
What do you mean by regular nuts? I believe your issue is that you OEM lugnuts are too big to fit into the wheel, right? Then just grab a set of mag lugs from Lordco, a wheelshop or autoparts store. Shouldn't be more than 40 bucks.

Yea, people bash on Motegi's since a lotta people have them, and they're fairly cheap, but the dumbest thing I ever did was not take up my buddies offer for those same exact rims. About a month before he was going to sell them to me, he got them repainted black at a shop. He wanted 300 for the rims AND 60% tread tires. But, they definitely look really good on our cars.

Plus, why can't you use your lug nuts that are holding your rims now? Too thick?

OEM lug nuts are too large to fit into the holes on the "rims".

Motegis come with thinner lugs and a good key new. but most people never include it in a sale.

Nope there are too think, and its weird cause my old cb lugs fit when I put aftermarket rims. I guess the guy who had that car changed the lugs too.

I just need to remember to take them with me to the JY cause theres a couple sets of wheels there that nobody has been able to grab. I dont want the wheels just the lugs.

Just buy some proper wheel nuts (lug nuts) from a wheel shop, their cheap and more often than not they double as lock nuts.
