ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Many people have done it. Search through the Members Rides threads.

It provides shorter gearing, which will allow for quicker acceleration... and a decrease in fuel economy.

I was just making sure, because there's some trannys where you have to tap a hole or 2 yourself for the tranny to bolt up.

ahh, good to know. Thanks guys. I know this isn't the smartest of questions, but keeping the ecu for the f22 is okay, right? Any other recommendations? I know still having the f22 engine, there's no sense in reving over 6500rpms, but there could be other reasons. What would be best for the h22 tranny, an f22 tcu or h23 tcu? I no longer have the "sport" button, which I took out along with the factory shifter, so I think it's stuck in sport. (light doesn't come on, but it won't shift if you're under 2500-2700rpms). It would shift at a lower rpm crusing around when I had the button off with the old shifter. Does the h23's have these buttons for their automatics? If they don't, then maybe installing an h23 tcu would calm down my shifts while crusing, where I'm not sittin' in 3rd gear at 40mph.

let me add to that. yes, you do get worse mpg's on the highway, but there's a trade off with city mpg's (not enough to even it out). since it's easier to move the car with shorter gears, it get's better stop and go mileage. later.

i would keep the ecu and tcu since they're both geared towards your motor.

Yea, I planned on keepin' the Ecu, but the tcu was what I was wonderin' about. I do some highway traveling to and from my mom and dads. Mom's about 200 miles away, and my dad's about 160. Around here, it's all city though. Very little highway. Backroads also. Once I get the Cam installed, and get myself a p06, maybe I could possibly get some of that fuel economy back.
