ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    has any1 tried this???

    i was wondering if any1 put a h22 head on a h23 block?

    what compression would this make?

is there any advantages 2 doing this?

what would be needed 2 do this?

    Yes it can be done!!!!!!!
Well to start you will need a LSV kit from eagle rod to complete the mating.
I dont know about the CR this will yield. And in doing this i think you will gain more horsepower than a stock H22. IMO just go with a jdm f22b block and the h22 head

What's the point of the JDM F22B block with the H22 head? That just gives you a weaker H22.

Your typing hurts my head. You'll get MUCH more help from people if you don't type like an e-thug.

The H22/H23 frankenstein is one of the oldest combinations done with the H series motors. You'll get a 2.3L VTEC motor. However, you'll also get lower compression (should be near stock H23 compression), and a lower redline (which will not take advantage of the H22 cams).
If you want a 2.3L VTEC motor, pick up a JDM H23 VTEC. Otherwise, bore and stroke an H22... or don't bother.

H and F series head swaps aren't really a great idea.

I disagree with you 100%. IF he buys a f22b block which has iron sleeves he can put forged pistons in the bloc if he wishes to boost it. He wont have to worry about scraping the cylinder walls like in the h22. Besides the jdm f22b is a much stonger engine. It handles boost like a champ without the need to resleeve it, and you over come the hassle of spinning your bearings. basicall what im trying to say is F22b > h22 there is no way you can say the f22b is a much weaker engine imo
