Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Squeaking Noise While Turning The Wheel

    Well this just started happening, when ever Im at a complete stop when i turn the sterring wheel i hear this squeakin noise now im not suure what is is but im thinking its the rack and pinion or power steering pump any ideas?
    Stuff 4 sale 2nd gen dsm turbo manifold, ebay type s blowoff valve, 93 ex pt6 ecu, f22a6 camshaft, f22a6 intake manifold, obd1 p13 ecu

    check your power steeling fluid level. I have a small fluid leak and when the fluid is low, this will happen. Ideally, you want to replace that rotted out steel pipe right beside the rack and pinion; There will be a plastic cover you have to remove, and there it will be.

      ps pump could be low or no good

        I'm getting a squeaking noise when I turn the wheel too, except the same squeaking also happens when I go over even small bumps when I'm going slow. I found today that my right outer tie rod end has a ton of rotational free play. You might want to check that because I've got to believe that is the source of my squeaking.

          lower balljoints on our cars squeak also.

            My money's all over the lower BJs, You would for sure feel the slopppy steering if it were the tierods.

              Good point, my steering is unmistakably sloppy as well as having a very pronounced pull to the right when decelerating...it certainly keeps things interesting.

                Yea so I went to auto tech class today and found out it wasn't the ps pump or rack and pinion it was my stabelizer bar bushings, they were not lubricated so I took em out and greesed em up and no squeak but thanx guys nice guesses I should of out money against that kid lol

                  huh try those two ideas if those dont then it probably your ac or alternator belt

                      My stabelizer bar bushing are completely shocked as well. I'm starting to get this noise too. This squealing sounds totally different from when the rack and pinion went out. My steering and alignment are good. The rack sounded like an old dog after being hit by a car lol. The bar sounds like an old rusted door being opened. Maybe I can lube my bushings to cuz I already replaced my rack alittle over a year ago at a shop. It is annoying as hell though. Damn.

                        If torn or rip than replace them, they're cheap other then that lube.
