ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Breaker bars arent designed to be used with 10ft extension. Thats called user error.
I'm not arguing over a clearly obvious over-generalization you have made. I never said that using a 10ft cheater bar was the correct way to do it either, I'm merely pointing out that your argument while having some truth is not fully sound.

    ...adjust accordingly

... dremel....should cut through it pretty easily, just take your time and make easy cuts. You don't need to cut all the way through, once you're most of the way, try splitting it with a chisel or big flat tip screwdriver or a prybar. ... I made a cut on each side, then cut into the originals on an angle to widen the slot enough to get my flat bar tip into it, then twisted until it broke away ....
Anyone else have advice on this? This the best way to cut the nut off?

Mine's stuck on there. Tried PB Blaster, beaker bar w/10ft extension, 1/2 air tools - it's just freaking not coming off.

Cut a slot in each side along the same plane as the axle then use cold chisel to try and split the nut? Right?

Yeah, this didn't work at all.

I used a Dremel with the standard cutoff blades that come with it. Cut away the complete top of the nut as close to the axle as I could get and all the way back to the hub. Then Dremeled away the remaining molecules of the nut bit by bit until I got the nut to split along the plane of the axle by a whack with a chisel / hammer. Then a big air wrench took the nut off.

Probably took 2 hours but only 1.5 wheels with no damage to the axle.
