ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Valve Cover Gasket??

Hey I'm no nubie at working at cars or anything but I am kinda new to the Honda sceen so I got kinda a stupid question...Neways!!!

What are the little O-Ring Gaskets for that come with with the Felpro Valve cover gasket kit... The reason im asking is I installed the Valve Cover with out them and It started leaking so I ripped it off and bought a hole new kit...

I did install the Flat plug gaskets and the Outer Cover seal but left the small O-Rings out...I couldn't figure out where the go..

Do they go under the flat ones or what???

The kit comes with 3 different hgaskets... Cover Gasket It's self, flat spark plug gaskets and the O-Ring Gaskets??

Sorry for the Dumb Question but I just dont want to wast another gasket kit....

    Thanks

Plenty of people have wondered this. Me being 1, but the o-rings are for your spark plug tube seals. That's a whole 'nother project. They're to be used if you're gettin' oil into your spark plug slots, you gotta take your rocker arm assembly off to get to 'em. You could keep them just incase you have a future run in with the oil in the plugs. I plan on replacing the tube seals here once it gets warm, just for kicks.

Welcome, hey..I haven't had anything but problems with mine and I've had it 2 years. It becomes a hobby real quick. Most of these problems you can fix yourself with the help of this forum, without having to spend massive amounts of money to get a mechanic to do it. The only big thing about replacing the tube seals, is the type of wrench you need, since you have certain torque specs for the bolts. Other than that, it's cake.

Just wait until you start wantin' more power. There's plenty of things to keep you occupied then.

Have a tech at a parts store (autozone ect.) look for #9 on this.

Than remove the nuts, replace those small seals, and put the nuts back on. Dont tighten the nuts very much, as they break easily...
