ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    93 auto tranny problems

hi i just finished puttin a new f22 in my car and now the tranny slips and jerks like a mo fo. everything worked fine before the swap just the motor was garbage. and the only things i did besides the motor was the rear motor mount and took the ac off. i have searched the site and cant find a problem exactly like this someone please help. oh and also D4 light started blinking and speedo quit as well would the vss cause this?

Make sure you plugged everything back up and that there are no broken wires. The VSS would not cause the transmission to slip.

hmm, I've read that the excessive jerk when you shift out of park, etc, is because of worn out motor mounts. I think I remember that the major one is the dogbone mount that can cause this.

did the tranny come out during the swap? if, so was it drained (and then refilled)?

i don't have a lot of experience with CB's, but on Legends, bad VSSs can cause blinking D4s and inop speedos. i might have misread your question, but i think the first response you got was aimed at the slipping tranny, not the D4/speedo issue.

the d4 light blinking is actually blinking you a code of what the problem is, just like the CEL light does, it sounds to me that your lock up solenoids on the front of the the tranny, solenoid a and b.

first check your fluid, 2nd check your grounds,

                    3rd check your solenoids,

                    and 4th check your TCU
