ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    H22 swap first start

I just finished with my h22 engine swap, but i got a problem when i start the engine it will start but stops right away, i tried to press gas but nothing, i dont know if its because i didnt replace the F22 fuel pump,or due to gas octane,,,,,any ideas ?

When i did mine the sock on my pump decided to turn to crap, but that was just me. The f22 pump will work with h22. Thats not an issue unless you were having problems to begin with.

Have you checked all your wiring?? Like ground or anything else... 'cause if it's starts it means that you have gas but your fuel pump cut off right away....

sounds like a fuel pump relay.. or a bad fuel pump, try turn'n the key on but dont crank it.. you should be able to hear if your fuel pump is turn'n on if nothing, check the relay, if relay is good check fuel pump.. good luck!

i tried it and i can hear the fuel pump on, what are the chances that can be the distributor? because my H22 came with internal coil, so i just made some adjustments to make it external, some other people told to check the vacuum connections,, i dont know is kinda complicated,,,,,,,but the good thing is at least crank and start but doesn't stay on,,,,

ohh one more thing i just checked the spark plugs and all 4 are dark, with a strong gas odor ,,,,,,it will b due to weak ignition,or too lean condition ,,,right?
so maybe the distributor is bad or the fuel system
