Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

difference f22a1 and f22a6?

    difference f22a1 and f22a6?

    what is the difference? i have a 93 ex with a a6 but i need a motor and i found one that is an a1 and i am just wondering what the difference is?

    i am turboing the car. and i will use my intake and othe things off of my a6 but what all would i need off of my motor to make it work in my car? lmk thanks

    The A6 came with a different intake and exhaust manifold, as well as a different camshaft. It also had a different ECU to accomodate these changes. It would be worth your while to try and keep these things; all in all it counts for 10 hp between the A1 and the A6.

        what is wrong with your motor in the first place? maybe its something fixable.. you never know it could be something as small as a head gasket!

          It is actually 15. 125 vs 140.

            My bad; I was looking at some stuff for the F22B2 and got them mixed up.

                i believe it slung a rod, or jumped timing and busted a couple valves. i bought it this way. it is locked up but i can force it to turn but you can feel it like bottoming out. i believe it brobly jumped timing. but it was obviously burning oil before cause the whole bumper is black from it. but. if anyone has a f22a6 for sale and are local to me i can come pick it up asap

                    most of the things that make the f22a6 better are easily bolted on to the f22a1. essentially it is the same motor. far from crap.

                      thanks for the help i think i will pick up the a1 cause i need to get this thing going. either way i am going boost. i just wanted to make sure it would swap into my car ok. thanks
