ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    you can spend the 1500 in used performance parts and swap them into the f22.

    there's some critical areas...get more compression, a good valve job so you can hold th compression and a camshaft and tune.
    I <3 G60.

    0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

      He could get a depo rebuild kit.. They include everything..and if u look u can find a fel-pro kit which arnt that bad.
      Those kits cost around 350ish online.. Then it would be a matter of him taking the time to tear it apart and put it back together..

      Not to mention machine shop costs..decking the block and honing the block a few thousanths. Which would bring him around his 500 mark on (rebuilding)

      Then he has 1k in performance right?

      If he's resourceful he CAN pull off a turbokit for about a grand..

      More than likely would be dsm

      Dsm manifold=20
      14b=<100
      O2 housing=20-40
      Feed=75.00
      Return=20(homedepot)
      ic pipes=150
      Downpipe to cat weld job=100
      450cc injectors=75
      Chipped p06=150
      Fmic=100=ebay
      Bov=1g eclipse=30

      =860.00(using high end)

      Other option is spray

      Used nitrous kit =250
      Delta 262 regrind=110
      Header collector mod=60
      H23a intake manifold/tb=100
      450cc dsm injectors=75
      Chipped p06=175.00
      Dynotuned for a 75 shot=300

      =1145.. Leaves u with about 300 to spare

      Or swap a jdm f22b dohc..and spray a 50 shot on the stock ecu..and be happy with that

      Jdm f22b dohc(engine/no trans)=500-600
      Used nitrous kit =250
      Replacing misc shit to bring the motor up to date=300

      =1125 leaves u with about 300 to spare

      Bah..its early and im ramblying cause I don't want to be at work..lol..

      So take the above for w.e its worth
      all that is because you dont want to be at work? lmao

        Thanks for all the opinions! Another thing i was wondering about is will i still be able to smog it legally? I live in Southern California and the Smog Regulations here are rediculous! My dad is a Smog Tech and knows what to tweak for it to pass but he doesnt like risking losing his job which is understandable lol. Can i still do what HondaFan81 and all them did and still pass smog?

          a wild cam will very likely not pass smog. a mild one MIGHT, if all your other things are working well. tuning it properly will also help you pass smog.

          Bisi is the man to talk to. hes in cali, and hes all about modifying the f22a. the man may know more about the f22a than the engineers that designed it! his parts are the best you can get, and not insanely priced (not cheap, but the quality is well worth the reasonable prices). talking to him about your ideas and seeing what can be done to have a legally streetable car will be a very good idea.

          another option is to get a stock f22a and smog it with that in there. then swap it out. shady, but doable. hondafan81's red build was a p&p, delta 272 cam, intake, kamikaze header (which he said sucked, but was the best gain for the price), and exhaust. it was fairly minor, but the cam and P&P might change things enough for the smog machines to throw a fit.

            check it, bpi velocity stack and k&n filter $95, ebay short ram intake $40, header from tas auto $200, catback from tas auto $200, lvl 2 regrind from bisi $300, h23 intake mani $40, proffesional products 68mm tb $150, chipped p06 from mRX $150, tune $100-200, balance shaft belt removal FREE. bam 160-170whp for $1275-$1375. and the power band is very usable and its more power than a stock h22 without bolt ons. what people dont understand is an h22 aint shit without its tranny to keep it in vtec and an h22 with an h22 tranny even without lsd will be atleast 1500-2000 and thats starting. its a proven fact look it up a stock jdm types prelude only makes 160whp stock and that car has a 2.25" exhaust from the factory, 62mm tb, dual runner intake manifold, factory 4-2-1 header with 2.25" collector. it has all that and 10.5:1 compression and .420" cams and only makes 160whp. do the f. its a stronger motor bit for bit.

                Lol of course i'm still visiting! This site is awesome!

                But i will say about a month after i first posted this thread my budget had to be cut back to around $1000 so i ended up rebuilding the motor to stock specs.

                  a stock F22A1 is still nice when it's fresh. It's nice to see you rebuilt before doing any mods. 99% of the people on here haven't done that (sadly, myself included... my H22 is just as it was when it was delivered... didn't even change the timing belt!)

                    Yeah I still had some little things done when it was in the process of being rebuilt. I had the block bored .030 over just cuz the new pistons were the same price for stock size as the .030 over were. I had the block and the head shaved so they were true to each other. The head was cleaned up and had a basic valve job with new seals...The reason i rebuilt it to begin with was because the crank was lacking a couple bearings lol. So i had the crank ground .010". Obviously got all new bearings. New oil pump, seals, water pump etc...as far as the internals thats about all. I bought the 8lb fidanza flywheel and a new clutch. I was pretty impressed by how fast it reved after that change lol.

                    Once i broke her in i got on her and my jaw dropped! It was like day and night. I had a smile on my face for a while after that for 2 reasons. 1 because i rebuilt the motor myself (minus the machining) and i was proud of myself lol and 2 because it had so much more power then before! I was thinking to myself is this the same motor? lol.

                    Needless to say i was hungry for more power not long after that lol. Don't get me wrong its still a fun car to drive (especially since i have the manual trans) but i want to be able to beat an H22 accord with my F22a1! No offense to the H22 owners lol.
