ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    cb7 92 5speed power

ok so my cb7 has short ram intake/dc headers/exhaust cleaned out iacv and egr valve and stage 2 clutch/coil over suspension..i jus wanna kno..in my first-3 gears my car is pure power!! 4th is ok at best..does tht mean i have good low end power?? or is it high end power since the rpms reach higher faster at lower gears

    #2
If you've got a ton of power at say 1,500 rpm and not so much at 3,500 rpm then you have good bottom end torque.
But don't expect much out of 4th and nuthin out of 5th. 5th gear is like overdrive, just for cruisin.
If you want 4th and 5th to have power to spare, 2 words: forced induction.
    Hope that helps.

the computer controls when it opens if you have the pt6 ecu.

the H23 intake is just bigger to allow more air in, if you already have the A6 just grab your self the upper half of the H23 intake mani and install it ontop of your A6 lower half.

Not sure how there activated but I've been thinkin of doin the H upper swap.

I saw that you can also take another set of runners, gutt it and you now have a spacer.

Any readers correct me if I'm wrong.

That would be a poor mans intake manifold spacer set-up right there.
I believe BB6-SH made atleast 5-10 horsepower with the set-up installed.

from what i gathered by reading other threads, they are closed at low engine speeds and then open up when you're cruising at high speeds. some people have it set up to open by vaccum but people argue that isn't as efficient.

                  rpm speed. not car speed.

the engine doesn't give a shit what gear you are in. it makes the same power. gears are simply torque multipliers. you are making the same engine power in all gears.

To check if they are working, look for the big circle with a hose going to it on the right of your plenum.

Push the throttle plate on the left side while watching for the lever comming out the oppisite side of that circle.

                    It should move around 4k
