ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm rolling stealth mode: no headlights on during the day.

I might jut have to make a few emergency stops than....

No but really... If you were to look down a straight road, like a not busy highway during the day, You can see it. Like at a mile away, you can already see the glare of the headlights, where it may not be possible to totally see the car. Thus making the driver more aware of their surroundings...

Its what they thought us in drivers ed...

This isnt what this thread is about though... the guy just wants some help... Maybe he does have a Canadian model... An easy way to tell is if He had a DRL light on his cluster...

So to the op... Do you have a DRL light on your gauge cluster?

The DRL module is the most common trouble. You need to remove it (it's above the steering column) and resolder the relay connections on the circuit board. It's a common problem on 5th Gen accords too.

its stupid in my opinion. who needs lights on during the day? if you need them for any reason, just turn them on.

its a safety thing but i think its entirely stupid. every car i get that has them gets them disabled immediately. im not burning out my bulbs any faster than i need to
it's proven to be safer, especially further up north.

also, DRL's are not just the headlights turned on, they run at a lower voltage than when you turn them on.
people are morons, so it's cheaper for the government to require DRL's than clean up more accidents...

funny stuff, guys! op got a suggestion about resoldering two replys in! nearly all the other replies are off topic.
Imo, drls are a hazzard, because people with them forget to turn on their lights when it gets dark, then they have no tails until they turn em on. drls dont turn on side lights either.
id disconnect them ,also. but i do agree that some (maybe most) people are idiots, just varying degrees of it. If peeps would just pay attention, and not be in such a god damn hurry, the gov. wouldnt have to hold our hands.
sorry, most of my post is off topic

Whoa that was exciting, Anyway, you said you checked the fuses. Did you check the DRL fuse under the hood? If so equipped.

When I bought my cb they didn't work so I tried different relays and such no luck. It was the fuse under the hood.

One thing thats weird tho is if I start my car with the e-brake on, no DRLS, then when I take the e-brake off they light up. Now thats normal BUT - if I start my car with the e-brake off they come on and are on regardless if I put the e-brake on or off.

My friends cb as well as all other cars I've owned with DRLs it doesn't matter when you put the e-brake on or off the DRLs will turn on or off, anytime.

            GOT F?
