Okay, I have this problem on my car. The Break Lamp warning light is always on. I already filled the break fluid to max. Do you think there's a problem on my bulbs. Are they expensive?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

BREAK LAMP Light On

The "Brake" light on the upper right of your cluster indicates either the hand brake is pulled, or you have low brake fluid.
The "Brake Lamp" light in the lower right, on the picture of the car, indicates a brake light bulb is burnt out.
Bulbs are like $5-10. The # is 1157 or 2057 To find out which one is burnt out, go to an auto parts store and back into a spot up near the windows. Push your break and look into the windows through the mirror. You should see the reflection and be able to see which bulb is burnt out... If that doesn't work, just ask an employee to see which bulb is burnt. I'm sure they will help...

If that doesn't work, you may have to bypass the unit that makes that light turn on... There is a DIY somewhere.
If you are talking about the BRAKE LAMP warning indicator lamp that is located inside the little car picture on the cluster there is a DIY that you can do to solve it. If i can remember you have to ground the green wire. Do a search and you will find it.

have you check your bulbs??? if they are good most of the time its your brake paddle... check if the rubber piece is still on it to activate if you are stepping on the brakes or not...Last edited by CustomLowz; 06-14-2009, 08:39 AM.
