ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    lmao.

I never heard that before. but mine was owned by a couple of douches before my buddy victor got it right before me. So it was beaten like Chris Brown was driving.

I just spent the last 12 hours driving, talking to almost nobody... and now I'm stuck doing (avoiding) paperwork... My mind comes up with some odd things in this state

        I've always heard 2 things

        1) It's better to down shift when slowing down (incase you need to accelerate to dodge something)
        2) It's better to throw it in neutral and slow down because brakes are cheaper then transmissions
Figured I'd see what you guys do even though I'm pretty sure which will win

depends on my mood if im driving and i feel like downshifting i will just for fun but i usually throw it in N but what i do the most is push clutch in and put it in 2nd and 9/10 when the light changes at the speed im at im in the 2nd gear band and i can get the hole shot

"accidents in the back seats cause kids"
        but who says that i
have back seats in my sedan

It really depends. Generally if I'm coming to a light I go to neutral and brake like it's an automatic. The only time I down shift is when the idiot infront of me slams brakes, suddenly turns w/o a turnsignal, or just does some stupid crap that causes me to slowdown then I'll down shift to control the vehicles speed better.

Same here. Saves gas and brakes. I hate coasting in neutral, i like to always be in gear. I usually downshift to 1500rpm in 2nd before i finally settle for neutral.
