Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Tranny Mount Help!!!!

    iam doing a auto to manual swap iam almost done but theres a problem the donor tranny mounts dont fit which ones do i need ?? plz help its my daily drive car!!!
    i feel good cause i beat a 350z~

    The bracket on an auto is different than on a manual. It's not as easy as just swapping mounts. You either need to cut and weld the tranny bracket so the manual mount is in the right place or buy Auto--> 5 speed swap mounts. ( like from here http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=80212 )

      if you dont have time to buy those mounts and wait a week and a half then try to find a 92-96 prelude tranny mount (i think thats the correct years)

          if my car is 91 and the donor car is 90 can i use the 9293 tranny mounts?

            You have to remove this mounting bracket



            cut off a bracket from a 5spd. and weld it. is the donor car a 5spd?? if so you are in luck. measure 12 1/8 inch fron the core support and tack it down.

                the mount you was suppose to use is the 94 5speed bracket and mount you might have to tap the tranny i cant remember but thats what is used and i have no problems you dont need to weld anything

                        just get the bracket from a manual cb7 like plee3 showed. have that welded in and youll be straight. other than that everything else is straightforward just swap it over.

                            yo what jonas is talking about thats the hard way do like i did mine if you need proof is works ask jdmf22b he has the same set up peace! you dont need to weld anything trust me

                              actually im talking about the right way to do it.

                              and you are saying to replace the mount apparently. not the bracket. the piece that plee3 is holding in his post is the bracket. your telling somone that doesnt know very much to use the 5th gen bracket. hes going to do that and fuck a lot of shit up.
