ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Looking for a good cold air intake system...

I drive a 1993 10th Anniversary Accord with the F22a1 engine. I am interested in a cold air intake to boost my acceleration a little, but when i was looking at my local VIP auto parts store i learned that KNN does not make cold air intake systems for 90'-93' Accords. I was wondering what is a good cold air intake system that i could get for hopefully no more than $300.00. If you post a brand it would be helpful if you put a trustable site that sell the part.

    -Thanx

Dude any Ebay intake will work. Just get a bypass valve to protect you from hydrolocking. Shouldn't be more than $75 altogether

K&N makes filters that will fit intake tubes from other companies. I was running an aem cold air intake with k&n filter before doing my swap. It improved throttle response and the overall sound of the motor, but other than that I didn't really notice much difference.

this is true. remember an intake is just a tube. pretty much can't go wrong with that. The filter is probably what makes the biggest difference. Bypass valves are a great idea (I don't have one, but I only drive my car when it's decent outside).

True, but guys in California need that carb sticker so they don't get hassled by the cops.

i would requesr a Racing Sports Akimoto Intake i have 1 in my car and and when the tach hits the 4500rpm mark this intake comes alive like a monster under the hood . i have a chikara race header straight piped to a ractive race muffler and this intake over takes the sound of exhaust system and the akimoto intake is a oilable gauze filter same as k@n. should be less then 300dollars also

I really want to try one of these kits from TAS
                    http://tasauto.com/Product/Browse.aspx?d=1710&h=175

If you removed all the restrictive sound suppressing stuff from the factory intake that is in the finder I think this would work just as good as a CAI without the worries of hydrolocking.

that taspro is a neat product but all those connectors are air restictive u want smooth bends and that is the bottom line an engine is nothing more then a air pump the faster u can pass air through it the more power it will make >adding fuel and spark to the ratio as needed
