ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

hey guys, i got a 91 accord exr and im swapping the f22 out for the f22 vtec and am adding boost to it and i want to make 300whp, is this possible on a safe tune without having to build the motor? keeping in mind i am using hondata s300 and i also have a spec 3 clutch, comtic headgasket, arp headstuds, manifold with external wastgate, 255lph fuel pump.

you should make good numbers.. remember to get a free flowing exhuast..3in from downpipe to muffler..less restrictions will net you more power. iginition is also a key too.

is there something wrong with your f22a or do you just have the need to boost a shit motor? the f22b1 is garbage. turbo will make power with it but no more than on an f22a

300whp is doable if you tune carefully. i would do it on a dyno to be safe. at least the stuff you plan on using are good.

are u swapping ur f22ax for the f22b1 sohc vtec?

if so i think this is a bad move, the f22 you have right now is perfect for boost because of its low compression. the f22b1 has higher compression i believe .

alone in this game . ::My Ride My Way::

mine has over 350,000km on it and smokes constantly, the motor i chose was from the 99 accord, the f22a1 vtec, i plan on them tuning it on the dyno, but i dont want to push it to make 300whp..if its going to effect my reliability then i will just shoot for around 250

the 99 accord should have the f23a1. there were no vtec f22a engines.

regardless the head flows like crap. you are better off getting a replacement f22a (or f20a). where are you from?

just use an f22a. its the best choice.

the vtec system in the f23 is on the intake side only. it is for fuel economy not performance. the way the head is designed, the ports are very restrictive. it is crap for performance.
the h22 head actually flows less than a modified f22a head. its a better choice as the vtec system is performance oriented... but you seem to be hung up on vtec. honestly, if you use the h22 head on the f22 or f23 block you're going to have a greatly increased chance for reliabilty issues. it doesn't just bolt on there. you have to modify things.

the f22a is strong. it has low compression. the valve angle and port design is fantastic. in stock form it works very well with turbo. beef it up, and you can make an insane amount of power with it.

get over vtec. if you want turbo, vtec has nothing to offer you. you do not need it.

After you slap on the turbo on the f22ax and get a good tune you'll have 200 hp or probably even more. Then you start working on the head and internals and you'll get 350 easily.

with good parts and a good tune people have daily driven over 250whp on a stock-block f22a

im not really caught up on vtec i just wanted a newer engine and i couldnt find a f22 with lower km on it, so i went with the f23....i had also thought of getting the head port and polished do u think it would be worth it? and also, would it be cheaper to use the f23 or build the f22?....i plan on keeping the car for a long time cause i love cb7's so help point me on the right track i have till wednesday
